The BFB Story.
Big Wheel Baggers and Hawg Halters Inc go hand in hand. This well established, Georgia based manufacturer is a recognized brake, tree and component manufacturer to the motorcycle industry. Hawg Halters Inc. has earned a reputation for delivering outstanding quality, performance and design using  Made in the USA production facilities.

 The BFB Product  line is part evolution and part revolution .Evolving from a series of conversations and design ideas, the first BFBK -18 kit was actually built for a customer to debut at the annual  Sturgis gathering in  2013 using his own custom rotor. The stunning  and unique one piece 6 piston , direct bolt on caliper that was built for him represented a totally new execution for the big wheel touring bikes of the 2013 season.

Featuring bigger pistons, bigger brake pads, and a very solid mounting system, this caliper was meant to make a statement. The smooth gleaming billet construction clearly showed this new caliper was designed to deliver  amazing performance to the Custom Big Wheel Bagger market !

The BFB product mandate is to simply challenge the status quo of Big Wheel Braking, and deliver the first ever direct bolt on caliper in a style that reflected Hawg Halter’s total commitment to form and function. Step one is complete. The BFC -18 was successfully  launched and is now reaching the builders market across the country.

But simply having a caliper  obviously wasn’t enough. Big Brakes needed Big Rotors as well. Starting first with one piece designs, the R & D team, carefully began to execute the foundation for a full floating rotor to compliment their exciting new 6
piston caliper. Incorporating the dependable time tested HHI style of Full Floating pins, the rotors began to take shape. Quickly, design requests started arriving. Today, HHI is proudly  building a full range of matching  brake rotors for their colleagues at Renegade Wheels.

With the success of the BFR – 18 Brake Rotor launch soon calls began to come in from builders across the country. Could and would HHI work with them in designing BFBK – 18  Caliper & Brake Rotor Kits for those who had one off wheel designs built for their special projects.

It didn’t take long for the team to realize that this was a natural progression for a recognized component supplier like Hawg Halters to fulfill. Today, custom builders can send in their hubs from special wheel builds and Hawg Halters will proudly match and deliver a Custom Designed and Manufactured matching HHI / BFBK – 18 Brake Rotor & Caliper Kit.
